Lambasingi sits at around 1,000 metres and is the only place in South India's plains region where frost forms on winter mornings. The cool climate, foggy roads, and green plantations give it a hill-station feel that is rare for Andhra Pradesh.
On cold December–January mornings, mist covers the fields and dew freezes on the grass, drawing visitors for the rare South Indian frost.
Compared to busy hill stations, Lambasingi stays peaceful, making it great for couples and travelers who want quiet nature.
November to February is the best time to catch the famous fog and frost, especially in the early morning. The monsoon turns the hills lush and full of streams. To see frost, plan to reach the viewpoint before sunrise.
Apart from the main viewpoint, travelers enjoy the calm Thajangi Reservoir at sunrise, the seasonal Kothapalli Waterfalls, and walks through coffee and pepper estates. Many combine Lambasingi with Araku for a complete cool-weather trip.
Lambasingi is about 100 km from Visakhapatnam, roughly 3 to 3.5 hours by road through green ghat sections. A private cab is the most convenient option since public transport is limited. We arrange early-morning departures so you reach in time for the sunrise fog.
